Our Costs
£60 Initial Consultation
We offer a no obligation one hour initial consultation for a fixed fee of £60 plus V.A.T. (£10.50). This normally gives us enough time to discuss the issues that are concerning you and try to give you some idea of the way forward.

Fixed Fees
Wherever possible we will try to agree a fixed fee with you particularly in straight forward divorce cases.
We will tell you the fixed fee in advance and stick to it. We will not suddenly expect you to pay any additional costs for traveling, waiting, telephone calls "mark up" Etc.
Even if we have to do more work then we thought was necessary we will not charge you anymore then the fixed fee. If there is a loser in the fixed fee system it will be us, not you!
Hourly Rates
In more complicated cases it will not be possible to agree a fixed fee. We will therefore charge you a hourly rate of £130.00 an hour plus V.A.T.
We know that this compares very favourably with our competitors and is a rate which we believe adequately covers our overheads and remunerates our partners and staff for the work they do on your behalf.
We will give you a general estimate of the total cost of your case at the outset and let you know if this estimate alters during the case.
We will provide you with regular updates on the cost of the work that we have done on your behalf. All our costs are calculated and recorded electronically so if at any stage you want to know how much work has been done for you all you need to do is ask.
Fee Reduction Strategy
At the outset of the case we will discuss simple ways of reducing our bill to you.
These include:-
- DIY divorce advice.
- Attempting to ensure that negotiations take place by mediation (normally using the Family Mediation Service) rather than going to Court.
- Advice as to how clients can obtain and schedule their own financial information.
- No unnecessary letters/phone calls
